Vivekananda Jayanti celebration by RVK – Thanisandra
Bengalugu, Jan 14: During 161st Jayanti celebration of Swami Vivekananda, Rashtrothana Vidya Kendra – Thanisandra organised Inter – Government School Yogasana and Chanting Competition on. For this competition 340 students were selected from 31 Government Schools. DDPI of Bengaluru South Division, Sri Bailanjaneyappa ji, KR Puram S4 BEO, Sri Ramamurthy ji, Rashtrotthana Parishat Vice President, Sri Dwarkanath ji and RVK CBSE Schools Academic Coordinator, Smt Manjula Didi inaugurated the program.
Highlights of the Program:
Kumari Meghna of 6th Std of Yalahanka School recited 20 shlokas of Bhagavad Gita along with its meaning which grabbed everyone’s attention.
Government School Agrahara Layout, 10 students performed Rhythmic Yoga which was inspiring.
1600 Bhagavad Gita books were distributed to Government School Students by Matru Bharati.
In the competition 310 students performed difficult Yogasanas and attracted the audience.
DDPI, Sri Bailanjanappa has agreed to provide 3000 Yoga Mats to facilitate Yoga practice of children.
