Bengaluru, Aug. 15: India’s 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Banashankari. Former Army officer and IAF Captain Karkad Purushottam Bhat was the chief guest for the program. Ghosh team welcomed the Chief Guests. After viewing the parade, the chief guests saluted the national flag, hoisted the flag and sang the national anthem. Then a procession was taken out under the leadership of school student leaders and channel leaders. In his speech, the Chief Guest said that children should adopt courage, discipline, and skills. They should develop patriotism and thus build the nation. They should remember the history of India. The students who scored the highest marks in the previous year’s 10th class annual examination were honoured with the Pratibha Puraskar. Similarly, students who scored 100% marks in various subjects were honoured on this occasion. Teacher Shrimati Gurushri was honoured with the Auditing Award. Similarly, the birth anniversary of two great personalities was also celebrated today.
